  • Ok, so here is the reason your "white" was taking better to the cards, was because you were using Gesso, which is actually meant to be a primer. Gesso is made differently to actuall paints. It is an acrylic polymer emulsion that seals and stiffens surfaces to allow for paints to cover better on surfaces.

    The cards still turned out really good though.
